Almost Heaven Star Party

I've been meaning to blog about the Almost Heaven Star Party, which was an unqualified success last month. It's about the only stargazing I've managed to do all summer, hence the spotty blogging. I'll make a full report tomorrow, but in the meantime, here's a picture of our little setup before the hoardes arrived:

Hi
Sorry to spam your comments... but I couldn't find an email address to contact you directly. As someone who lives and observes under mag 3 skies (yikes!) i'm wondering what you're doing to fight light pollution in your area. It's certainly a tough challenge, but the combination of high energy prices, rising awareness to global warming and other environmental issues is creating something like the perfect storm. Now is the time to resume or begin your efforts to fight the spread of light pollution in your area and beyond. Your blog is an ideal platform for this.
